COACHING FAQS
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
I’m a qualified Life Coach with The Coaching Academy, DiSC accredited and an advanced practitioner with The Coaching Institute.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I have Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance with Maltings, a copy of my policy is available on request.
WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?
Life coaching helps you make the relevant decisions at the right time to improve your chosen aspects of life. Before committing, we’ll have an initial free conversation on the phone, by Zoom or – circumstances permitting – face to face. You’ll tell me your goals / dreams / aims and it should give you an indication of whether or not I’m the right coach for you.
HOW DOES LIFE COACHING WORK?
There’s some flexibility about where, when and how and these sessions general take place over Zoom.
Most of my coaching clients book six sessions in advance. Mostly, the sessions last one hour.
DO YOU DO EXECUTIVE COACHING?
Executive coaching is usually paid for by your workplace. Your manager is likely to be involved in agreeing the aims of the coaching. However, I don’t share coaching session content with your manager, beyond confirming that you came to the sessions.
CAN I HAVE A ONE-OFF SESSION?
Yes, and sometimes this can be effective for a challenge or issue that’s temporary or not deep rooted. However, meaningful progress is generally achieved in five to six sessions over a few months.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Hourly rates start at £80 for life coaching and £100 for executive coaching.
I charge coaching fees in advance. Please take a look at my Packages & Fees section for details.
DO YOU WORK WEEKENDS OR EVENINGS?
I don’t work at weekends or in the evenings.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
I work on the basis that we both prioritise sticking to scheduled times and dates. If it’s necessary to cancel, we’ll aim to re-schedule. If you have to cancel outright with less than two working day’s notice, we’ll discuss a cancellation fee that values us both.
WHAT RECORDS DO YOU KEEP?
With each client’s permission, I take notes during coaching sessions and keep these in a locked cabinet.
I’m registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (Data Protection).
WHAT IF I’M NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU DO?
Tell me. I work in a way that is open, comfortable and approachable. Every client is exciting and interesting, and every experience teaches me something too. If part of the service didn’t work for you, I’d come up with a solution to better fit your needs.
